Sangha, A Practice Community
The community of people that we spend time with directly affects our ability to evolve and grow. The Buddha was known to have said that keeping good company was perhaps the most central element of one's personal practice. This is not to say that we should alienate or distance ourselves from those who challenge us, but rather that we should skillfully recognize those relationships that truly feed us in some deep and profoundly healthy way.
Jonathan has helped to begin a West Coast Based Nonprofit Teaching Collective called the Learning To Listen Yoga & Meditation Center, whose mission is to 'offer tools that promote conscious living'. His hope is that all beings might awaken from the suffering caused by deluded thinking.
